Guidance on homecoming and separation - Presentation
Deployment and separation brings special challenges for those left at home and away. It affects family life and tests our ability to cope with change. But change is a fact of life; everyone responds differently and manages in their own way.
It may have been a long or short separation period. Many events will have happened. In good time, most will need to be shared. For the digger, maybe not all.
Homecoming is a time of mixed emotions, excitement, anticipation and expectation. Each member of the family:
- the deployed parent
- the prime carer
- the children/young people
will have their own thoughts.
We have prepared a presentation and presenter notes on this subject
